Information reaching Us indicates that the process
of charging Diezani Allison-Madueke, the immediate
past powerful Minister of Petroleum, has already
commenced in London. The UK system is not like
what we have in Nigeria, they make sure they have
enough evidence before arrest.
Also, credible sources have confirmed that the
Economic and Financial Crimes Commission
detectives who raided Diezani's mansion in Abuja
after she was arrested by the NCA in London
recovered some bags containing cash that is said to
run into millions of Naira.
This is to tell you how these politicians store our
money in their houses to escape bank scrutiny.
Anyway, her money laundering trial is expected to
go on as planned.
The trial is expected to be conducted in London and
is likely to draw many Nigerians resident in the
United Kingdom. She is not the only one who will be
in the dock, her accomplices will appear too.
An official of the NCA gave indication of the trial in a
telephone chat with Vanguard but pointed out that
the identities of all the suspects would only be
unveiled at the point of charging them to court.
