Didier Drogba has been named Etihad Airways Major League Soccer Player of
the month for September, ahead of Nigeria forward, Obafemi Martins, reports

The Montreal Impact striker claimed the award after amassing 44.89 percent
of the total votes.
Seattle Sounders' hitman, Martins garnered 25.24 percent of the votes to
come second behind the Ivor ian legend.
Drogba scored seven goals in his last five games for Montreal in the MLS,
while Martins hit the back of the net four times in five outings in September.
Martins has scored 14 goals in 18 games for Sounders in the MLS this
season.
