Newstrack learnt that after eight month of the incident after declaring that Ngbede was missing, hunters discovered his (Agabaidu) skeleton in a shallow grave where he had been buried.

The state commissioner, Dibal Yakadi said the bubble burst when the mother of the deceased insisted his son was last seen with Ngbede and a manhunt was launched to nab him.

He added that the accused would be charged to court after investigation.

Baby Found In A Polythene Bag In Akwa Ibom (Photo)

A new born baby with his umbilical cord still attached was found along Dibue road, Ikot Ekpene in Aka Ibom State this afternoon.

A lady after delivering this baby, put her in a polythene bag and dumped her by the road side.

An eye witness said that he saw a lady in that area this afternoon but didn’t know what she’d left behind until she’d gone.

The baby was already dead before people noticed what was in the bag.

How a 54year- old Okada Rider Raped Pry Sch Girl in Ondo state (Pictured)

If not for providence the case involving a 54 year old motorcycle rider, Seun Aderemi, who raped a primary six pupil until she fainted would have been swept under the carpet by some interested parties in Igbara-Oke, Ifedore council area of Ondo State.

The case of Marvelous (not real name) was pathetic as she was raped in the presence of the accused person’s pregnant wife Oluwayemisi and son, 11-year-old Ayobami in their house.
She was hospitalized for weeks and could not sit for the common entrance examination as she had to be operated upon at the specialist hospital in Akure.

Her private part was said to have been badly affected following the injuries she sustained.
Marvelous who reportedly bled profusely after the act also fainted before she was rushed to a private hospital in Igbara-Oke before she was referred to the state hospital for surgery to stop the bleeding occassioned by injuries sustained in her private part.
This act, according to some Police detectives who investigated the matter may have some diabolical reasons, which they are yet to unravel .
Vanguard gathered that while the accused was having carnal knowledge of the pupil under their noses, they reportedly feigned ignorance in one of the rooms in their house.

Common entrance
Reports had it that the accused person on that day at about 7.00am, at his residence located at Onigemo street, Igbara-Oke forcefully pulled the victim who was on her way to write common entrance examination but decided to stop over to ask her school mate who happened to the accused persons son to join her to trek to the venue of the examination.
On getting to the house of her friend, she discovered that he was ready but had misplaced his examination slip.

She reportedly helped him search for it and they were lucky to find the slip after about 20 minutes of frantic search.
A police detective disclosed to Vanguard that the misplacement of the examination slip was a decoy by the family members to lure the girl into the room for the devilish act.
Vanguard was also informed that while the girl was forcefully pulled into the room, the wife of the accused person and son were around but failed to raise any alarm, an indication that it was a planned job.

The accused person was said to have rushed out of the room when the victim started bleeding and fainted.
She was rushed to a private hospital and the parents who were security guards in a telecommunication outfit- Pastor and Mrs Diya were informed.
The accused person was later picked up by Police detectives and was said to have informed the detectives that the victim was his girl friend.
Some interests reportedly intervened and the matter was turned against the victim.

The accused person who hails from the town rallied notable personalities in the town and the service of a lawyer was secured to free him. However, the poor parents of the victim, who earn N8,000 each a month took solace in God’s intervention and shouldered the responsibility of taking care of their daughter’s hospital bill. But relief came their way when officials of the state Women Affairs Ministry got wind of the travail of the family and subsequently waded in.

The matter which was almost swept under the carpet received life and a lawyer was secured to get her justice.
The table turned as those personalities that wanted to oppress the hapless family of the victim ceased when the ministry showed interest in the matter.
Vanguard gathered that the accused person pleaded guilty at his first appearance in court but later changed his plea.
The legal battle which eventually earned the accused person nine years imprisonment with hard labour and without an option of fine lasted about two and half months.

During the trial, the wife of the accused and his son who stood as witnesses told the court that the victim was a girl friend of the accused person. They told the court that she was given N300 by the accused person after having sex with her adding that she consented to the game.

KIDNAP: I Slept On Bare Ground, Trekked Several Kilometres — Falae

Confirm’s he was arrested by Fulani herdsmen

AKURE—AFTER four days in the kidnappers den, the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Chief Oluyemisi Falae who was yesterday escorted back home by security operatives said he slept on the floor for four days and trekked several kilometers to get to the hideout of his abductors.

Falae said this while narrating his ordeal in the hands of his abductors to the state governor, Dr Olusegun Mimiko who visited him after he was excorted home by the Inspector General of Police, IGP, Solomon Arase at about 4.14pm in a black Police SUV, marked NPF 03-23.

The IGP rode in another Police SUV with number plate NPF 8713 C.
Injury on left elbow

The former Minister who had a wound on his left elbow looked frail and spoke in hushed tones while telling the governor and his family members his experience. Falae confirmed that his abductors were the Fulani herdsmen who invaded his farm on Monday.

According to him, after he was kidnapped he was made to trek with the herdsmen from his farm located at Ilado in Akure North council area of the state to Owo, which is another council area in the state.

Falae told the governor that for the four days he was with the Fulani herdsmen he slept on bare ground and trekked several kilometers throughout the night to get to the hideout of the kidnappers.

According to him, when his family offered to pay N2 million, his abductors said: “Is it Boko Haram that your family wants to give N2 million?”

He said it was an experience that he would never forget in his entire lifetime.

Arriving home

Immediately he arrived his residence, his personal physician who was waiting gave him medication.
Vanguard gathered that the Fulani herdsmen dropped Chief Falae in front of Joyland Hotel in Owo and the security operatives later picked him up from there to Akure.

It was gathered that the family and the security operatives had to appeal to the owner of the hotel to allow the politician have a change of clothes in their room.

His Personal Assistant, Captain Moshood Raji (retd), took back the cloth he wore for four days in the kidnappers den to his residence in Akure.
The politician was accompanied to his Oba-Ile residence by the IGP, the Commissioner of Police, CP Mike Ogbodu, after he was picked up in Owo where his abductors reportedly dropped him.

A family source later informed Vanguard that their father said that any time he was exhausted, the eight herdsmen, used to back him one after the other until they got to Owo.

IGP Arase speaks

In an interview after he accompanied Falae home, IGP Arase said: “The important thing now is that Baba Falae is back home safe and sound according to the mandate given to me by the President.

“President Muhammadu Buhari gave me a mandate and that is what I have done exactly, rescuing Baba Falae and bringing him back home safe and sound.’’

He vowed that the Police will continue to battle insecurity frontally.

According to him; “We are going to diversify our strategy so that hoodlums will not overwhelm the state.

‘’We will continue to degrade, catch and bring them to book.

He said that no ransom was paid and that nobody has been arrested.

Asked about where the victim was rescued, the IGP said it was a security matter and not meant for public consumption.

Mimiko

Speaking with newsmen after meeting with Chief Falae, Ondo State governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko who arrived the residence at about 4.35pm thanked God that the politician is back safe and sound.
Mimiko said he was worried and prayed that Chief Falae should come back home safely.

He said that he was worried that the issue of kidnapping was taking a dangerous dimension in Nigeria, saying “we must tackle this in wider dimension that somebody of his pedigree was taken away while working on his farm.”

Dependable sources said that the family concluded the ransom agreement with the kidnappers on Wednesday and they were asked to pick him up in Lokoja, But the kidnappers later called that he would not be released until yesterday ostensibly to beat any security tab on them.

It was after they reportedly dropped him in Owo that they told the family to pick him up in front of the hotel.

Falae’s children and newsmen

Meanwhile, the politician’s children were hostile to newsmen, ordering them out of the compound after which the gate was shut against them.

The politician’s daughters called journalists names, saying they did not need the exposure given to their father’s travail.

Vanguard gathered authoritatively that the family paid a ransom running into several millions of Naira, but the sources refused to disclose how much. Police on the other hand, however, denied ransom payment.

Political associates of the politician trooped to his residence to welcome him back.

The Primate of the Anglican Church, Most Revd. Nicholas Okoh on Wednesday, led over 180 Bishops to pray for the release of Chief Falae at their meeting which was held in Akure, the Ondo State capital.

Olu Falae Regains Freedom

The former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Chief Olu Falae, who was kidnapped earlier this week, has regained his freedom, Africa Independent Television (AIT) has reported.

Falae was kidnapped on Monday at his farm in Ondo State by people described as Fulani herdsmen.Newsdiaryonline had reported that the abductors demanded N100 million ransom.It was not known at the time of filing this story if any ransom was paid.

But President Muhammadu Buhari earlier today condemned the abduction of Falae and ordered the security agencies to ensure his safe rescue.

Also, Afenifere, the socio-cultural group in the South West had earlier today warned against anything untoward happening to Falae.

FG Declares Thursday, Friday Sallah Holidays

The federal government of Nigeria has declared Thursday, 24th and Friday, 25th of September, 2015 as Public Holidays to mark the celebration of this year's Id-El-Kabir.

Fear In Saraki’s Camp As Dino Melaye, Other Senators Keep Silent

Attempts to get the reaction of Senator Bukola Saraki’s political ally, Senator Dino Melaye, to the warrant of arrest issued by the Code of Conduct Tribunal against the Senate President yesterday met a brick wall.

Melaye, known widely as one of Saraki’s most vocal supporters, declined comment when our correspondent contacted him yesterday, raising suspicion that the proverbial hand of the clock may have turned a full circle at the upper chamber of the National Assembly.

Melaye, the spokesman of Senator Saraki’s campaign for the Senate President position, had maintained his vocal posture while Saraki defied the All Progressives Congress’ directive on the filling of Senate positions.

He is currently facing his own legal challenges in the Kabba/Lokoja Senatorial constituency where Senator Smart Adeyemi is seeking a reversal of Melaye’s victory in the 2015 senatorial elections.

Melaye, who is currently the Chairman of the Senate Ad-hoc Committee on Media and Publicity. declined to send any response to our reporter’s text message demanding his reaction.

Before and after the text message, about 15 calls our correspondent made to his phone went unanswered.

Repeated calls and text messages made to the telephone lines of other senators also went unanswered while two of them sought more time as they cautiously weighed the implications of the development.

The fate of the four committees inaugurated by the Senate on July 29, this year may hang in the balance if the power equation, including the Saraki leadership of the Senate is altered as a result of the unfolding developments.

The four committees are the Selection Committee, the Rules and Business Committee, the Ethics and Privileges Committee and the Ad-hoc Committee on Publicity.

Senate President Bukola Saraki heads the Selection Committee while the Rules and Business Committee is headed by Senator Babajide Omoworare from Osun East Senatorial District and the Senate Ethics and Privileges Committee has Senator Samuel Anyanwu from Imo East Senatorial District as its Chairman.

bukola refuses to appear in court

here was anxiety yesterday following the relocation of the President of the Senate, Dr. Bukola Saraki, from his personal residence in Maitama District in Abuja.

He was said to have moved to the official Guest House of the Office of the President of the Senate for “security reasons.”

It was learnt that the invasion of the Guest House by the police to arrest Saraki might be considered an assault on the Senate.

But the police were still awaiting the warrant of arrest from the Code of Conduct Tribunal on yesterday.

To stave off pressure, the Chairman of the Code of Conduct Tribunal, Justice Danladi Umar, has allegedly switched off all his mobile lines.

Findings by our correspondent revealed that Saraki has moved out of his personal residence to an official apartment for “strategic reasons and safety.”

A source said: “The President of the Senate has relocated from his personal house in Abuja. Saraki is now staying in the official Guest House of the President of the Senate which is like a sacred place like the hallowed chamber of the Senate.

“If the police and security agencies invade or storm the place, it will amount to a slap on the upper chamber. This can make the Senate to join issues with the Executive despite the fact that there is no immunity for any National Assembly leaders.

“He has also been consulting with his strategists on how to vacate the Bench warrant against him by the Code of Conduct Tribunal.”

When contacted, an aide to the Senate President, however, said: “He actually moved to the Guest House since Monday because of the ongoing renovation in his personal residence due to a recent fire incident.”

As at press time, however, the police could not effect the arrest of Saraki because it was still awaiting a copy of the Bench warrant from the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT).

There were indications that the warrant might be sent to the police on Monday.

The Force Public Relations Officer, Mrs. Olabisi Kolawole, said: “We are yet to receive the bench warrant.”

She avoided further comments when pressed to expatiate on the development.

A top source said: “I think the long session of the tribunal on Friday accounted for the delay in making the warrant available to the police.

“And a tribunal will have no justification for issuing warrant of arrest on Saturday when it is not an official period.

“The police have to be careful because any procedural error in the execution of bench warrant could affect the merit or otherwise of the case at hand.

“The police can get the warrant by 8am on Monday and effect the arrest of the President of the Senate immediately.”

All attempts to speak with the Chairman of CCT, Justice Danladi Umar failed as his phones had been switched off.

An official of the tribunal could not immediately ascertain the status of the bench warrant.

The official said: “I cannot give you the status on the bench warrant until Monday. I knew it was being processed after the session on Friday.

“On the CCT chairman, he has to switch off because of pressure from politicians, friends and associates. Some people are just desperate to either speak or meet with him on the matter.

“Also, the case is sensitive and all his lines and other tribunal members will now be subjected to security checks by relevant agencies. Even some supporters of the defendant will be monitoring the call logs of Justice Umar.”

Meanwhile, a Senator from the South-East is being investigated by security agencies for allegedly being the brain behind the ex parte motion filed at a Federal High Court in Abuja to restrain the Code of Conduct Tribunal, Code of Conduct Bureau, and the Office of the Attorney-General of the Federation from arraigning Saraki .

A security source said: “The said Senator is used to procuring ex parte order at will from the Federal High court. We are studying his antecedents, his relationship with some judges.

A prophet, Muyiwa Adesoye, has been accused of having carnal knowledge of an auxiliary nurse under the pretence that he wants toanoint her private part.It was gathered that Adesoye allegedly prophesied to the victim (name withheld) that she had spiritual husband who usually had se.x with her in her dream, which had hindered her career progress.Adesoye, who resides at Ikotun area, allegedly informed her that she needed to be delivered throughprayers so that her future will be brighter stating that such prayer and deliverance would involved himhaving s.ex with her in order to anoint her private part.Nigerian Tribune gathered that, Adesoye also told her that she would pay him N25, 000 for the prayers and warned her to do so to avoid further threat to her future. The victim accepted, paid the money and gave him her two phones and a gift.It was further gathered that Adesoye took the young nurse to a popular hotel located at Abule Odu in Egbeda area and had se.x with her several times and thereafter gave her a soap to use to take her bath daily.After the victim, who was introduced to Adesoye by her friendrealised that she had been duped, she told her parents what happened and the matter was reported to the police at Area ‘M’ Command, Idimu.Adesoye was arrested and charged before an Ejigbo Magistrate court for obtaining se.x, unlawful carnal knowledge under false pretence and stealing under the Criminal Code.He was remanded in prison custodyat Kirikiri pending when he will perfect his bail condition.
